Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

Welcome to Tandrwst (the “Service”, “Platform”). By creating an account or accessing the Service, you (“User”, “Doctor Resident”, “Supervisor”, “Attending Physician”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a Health Directorate or academic teaching hospital, you warrant that you have the authority to bind such institution.

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform following any modifications indicates your explicit consent to the updated terms.

2. Professional eligibility

Access to Tandrwst is strictly restricted to:

• Licensed medical doctors currently enrolled in accredited tandrwst programmes in the Kurdistan Region.
• Attending physicians, consultants or senior registrars designated as clinical supervisors by their respective department heads or health directorates.
• Board coordinators, academic committees and administrator delegates authorised by the Kurdistan Board of Medical Specialties (KBMS).

Any account created under false credentials or representing non-certified medical personnel will be immediately terminated, and details will be forwarded to the Ministry of Health licensing division.

3. Clinical logbook integrity

The Platform provides a digitised medium for logging surgeries, clinics, seminars, emergency shifts and procedural skills. Users agree to the following terms of integrity:

1. Authenticity: all logged clinical procedures, supervisor references and dates of action must reflect actual medical practice. Falsification of procedure counts is considered academic and professional misconduct.
2. Supervision: logged procedures requesting supervisor sign-off must be sent directly to the licensed attending doctor who personally supervised the procedure. Sharing credentials or signing logs on behalf of another doctor is strictly prohibited.

4. Patient data privacy

Patient confidentiality is paramount. Tandrwst is a procedural record and portfolio platform, not an Electronic Health Record (EHR).

You must never enter patient-identifying data — full names, government ID numbers or exact residential addresses — in procedure descriptions, clinical notes or seminar documents uploaded to the Platform.

All patient entries must be completely de-identified. Log entries should reference generic parameters (for example, “34-year-old male presenting with acute appendicitis”) to comply with local medical privacy codes.

5. Data audits & KBMS sharing

The academic data logged by doctor residents remains the property of the resident doctor and the supervising academic institution. However, by using this Platform, you grant permission to:

• The Kurdistan Board of Medical Specialties (KBMS), to audit, review and grade your logs for board examination eligibility.
• Your local Directorate of Health (Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok or Halabja), to inspect rotation rosters and shift attendance statistics.

6. Limitation of liability

Tandrwst is an academic and operational coordination tool. The Platform does not make clinical decisions, dispense medical advice or diagnose patients. The ultimate responsibility for patient care lies entirely with the attending physician and the operating medical team.

Under no circumstances shall Tandrwst or its developers be held liable for any clinical errors, medical malpractice, patient complications or data loss occurring in training facilities.
